Nose to Knee Pose

|

Yogis "set" their navel each morning, using a combination of exercises for our abdominals (our core) and breath work to stimulate our nervous and glandular systems. Nose to Knees Pose is a posture you can do even when you are still in bed!

This pose works to build abdominal strength, massage the vital organs and help with digestion, and fire up your body’s engine, so to speak. It's great to do first thing in the morning, or as part of a general warm up set.

Tutorial
From a reclined position, bring your knees into your chest, and wrap your arms around your legs. Bring you nose up toward your knees, so you are essentially curled up into a ball. Begin breath of fire. Continue for 1-3 minutes. Inhale and hold, exhale and come out of the posture. Relax for at least 30 seconds.
